Book Description

A Knitter's Dozen series September 1, 2002
Explaining the basics of lace-knitting, this series features directions for creating 10 small angels and two large angels. Because the construction and lace patterns are simple variations on a theme, lace-knitting skills are progressively honed and developed. The sequence of work allows the knitter to observe how the lace pattern develops and then to explore its options for further fabrication. Clearly illustrated techniques and step-by-step blocking and finishing directions ensure first-time success.

4.0 out of 5 stars Knitting on High, November 2, 2008
This review is from: Angels: A Knitter's Dozen (A Knitter's Dozen series) (Paperback)
I am having so much fun with this book. I had been looking for a little something to make as gifts for friends in my "fiber circle" ~ this covers them all! From weavers, to stitchers to spinners! Every angel is slightly different. I am sure that the recipiants of these little lace angels will be as charmed by them as I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for lovers of lace knitting and or angels!, January 18, 2005
This review is from: Angels: A Knitter's Dozen (A Knitter's Dozen series) (Paperback)
I made 8 lace angels for Christmas gifts and wasn't disappointed in any of them. The book is well written and the directions for finishing easy to follow. Working with thread and dpns is not for a beginner but the knitting really isn't that difficult. I loved how easy it is to personalize each angel by using different charms or accessories. I found it easier to hot glue them together instead of sewing. Also included are patterns for two large tabletop angels. These are as beautiful if not more so than crocheted angels! I am so glad I bought this book, I plan to make more and next time will keep one for myself!

This review is from: Angels: A Knitter's Dozen (A Knitter's Dozen series) (Paperback)
The directions are well written and the end products are delightful. Angels: A Knitters's Dozen is a delightful book of lace angels, these angels can be used on a tree or free standing. If you like to knit and lace and angels are something you would like to do, this is the book for you.
