Angels of Our Heart is a book for the survivors of murder. It is a compilation of stories written by loved ones of murder victims. These stories tell of the lives of the victims before they were victims, about their love for them and how they were a unique addition to this world. Each story has a picture of the victim beside it. It is also a book about healing. There are chapters devoted to the grieving process, social issues such as the handgun issue and the death penalty. These chapters teach how a survivor can learn to deal with their loss. It is filled with poetry written by survivors as well. Angels of Our Heart is a tribute to murder victims and a healer for the living survivor. The book comes with a CD containing color pictures of each of the murder victims whose stories are found in the book.

"Angels of Our Heart" was published by a small, independent press and not sent to a major publishing house for a couple of reasons. Number one, the content and emotional side of the book was so important to convey to the public, that I didn't want to risk having a third party edit it out. Number two, the time it takes to await word from a major publishing house exceeded the amount of time I was willing to make the survivors who have written their loved ones stories wait.
Simply put, I knew what I wanted to do for the survivors who have helped me write the book, and my bond with them is so strong, I wanted to make sure it was done their way.

This book will make you cry, laugh, and most important of all, think.Angels Of Our Heart is not a casual book. It profiles the lives of dozens of wonderful children, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters were murdered. Thier lives, not their tragic deaths, are remembered by their parents, friends, siblings, and grandparents. The author takes you into the worlds of these precious people, and makes you think about what might have been. These names are no longer faceless statistics. When you see their smiling faces, you realize that you know these people. They lived next door to you, down the street, over near the grocery store. They had hopes, dreams, plans for living. Angels Of Our Heart is the kind of book you read once, and remember the rest of your life. I highly recommend it to anyone with parents, siblings, children or friends.

I only wish that there were more people like LeAnn who are so compassionate and dedicated to giving their life for others that they would stand up and shout that what has been done to survivors is wrong. They needed a voice and should be honored by this voice. Angels of Our Heart is a phenomenal representation of love, life and honor. Thank you Leann Poile for giving a voice to the victims and survivors of violent crime. What a wonderful gift to the families of the victims; a permanent memorial to their loved ones. You have given the victims a face, a life remembered. The angels are singing.
