Counting Crows (Round Here) Live From Town Hall

Biography

Counting Crows put in the gigging hours during the early days of the band, and it paid off. By the time they signed to Geffen in 1993, they had already built up a significant fanbase. Their debut, August and Everything After was released later the same year and became an unexpected multi-platinum hit, partly as a result of the successful single "Mr. Jones". Soon after, lead singer Adam Duritz… Read more in Amazon's Counting Crows Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, but sorta expensive., March 28, 2001
This review is from: Angels of the Silences (Audio CD)
While I'm not exactly sure which B-Sides this single comes with, I'm pretty sure that there were only two pressings of the single for the song. One featured Angels of The Silences (album version) and Round Here (live). Another one featured both of these tracks plus Recovering the Satellites (album version).

Now, I would assume that nobody would want this single just to get the album track(s), since for this kind of price, you may as well buy Recovering The Satellites (awesome album, by the way!). So, is the live version of Round Here worth it? I think that it is. The version on this single was recorded in Paris several years ago, and is 12 (!!!) minutes long. Adam inserts a large portion of Sordid Humor's Private Archipelago into this song and just nails his vocal part. One word: amazing! If you can get it elsewhere for a smaller price, then by all means do so... but in any case, this is a must-own.

Counting Crows return with their next single off their Angels of the Silence album. This follow-up album to much acclaimed August and Everything After smash hit, leaves the fans with new energy. This album along with the single are a great follow-up to August.. and a great addition to any CD collection.
