Strange, unforeseen events that give people just what they need to get by, it's what referred to as miracles. "Angels and Wonders: True Stories of Heaven on Earth" is a collection of more than thirty true stories telling of God's servants and their presence on Earth. These stories tell of people in need and how when they needed help most, they believe there's no one who went to bat for them there except Angels. Touching stories of overcoming adversity and making it through tough times, "Angels and Wonders" is inspiring and faithful reading, a great gift book for Christians.

Joan Wester Anderson always writes uplifting books that are true stories, great read. I always buy her books, everyone needs an uplifting once in a while in their life.

This is a wonderful and uplifting book of true miracle stories that will help to increase one's faith.

"Angels and Wonders" is actually a reprint of a 1996 book "Where Wonders Prevail" so if you own that one, you don't need to buy or read this one. It also means that the stories and references in this book all refer to things from the 1980s and early 90s. That doesn't make the stories any less miraculous, however. In the preface, Joan Wester Anderson writes of a crocus that bloomed one day eighteen years after it had planted by her father, on her father's birthday 4 years after he had died. It was a simple miracle but it forever built her faith. Anderson states "Although faith should never depend on such things, we are mystical as well as physical beings, and we need a touch of the sacred now and then to remind us of our eternal home." There are plenty of stories in this book to help build anyone's faith. From the story of baby Logan who came back to life after an hour and eighteen minutes of being dead, to children who saw ghosts of loved ones who had just died even before they were informed that the person had passed on, to the photograph of four women (including one stranger who had been of great help) which when developed showed only three people, to the woman running from a dangerous boyfriend who was able to travel four hundred miles on a near-empty tank of gas. If you need a little help to believe in miracles or that God really cares for people, you need to read this book. It will warm your heart and encourage your faith.

it drew me closer to my God and my faith in God. I do believe in miracles, and
i do believe they can happen. i have a new positive prospective about life and
a sense of hope and encouragement.

I ordered my book on the night of December 23 and I received it today, December 26th! Of course I have not read the entire book yet, but what I have read is fascinating. But I did have to respond by reviewing what great service I received. That is why I love ordering from Amazon.

Joan Wester Anderson's books are compelling must-reads and I love having them in my permanent library. Some are better than others (I think "Where Angels Walk" is my favorite). Having said that, I didn't realize that some of them have been re-published under new titles.

I just ordered and received "Angels and Wonders" and was looking forward to some new angel stories, but realized after the first few chapters that it's identical to "Where Wonders Prevail," published in 1996. Exactly the same, word for word, chapter for chapter.

Really wish I'd known this before spending the money. Just passing the information along....

These stories are inspiring, hopeful, and bring an overwhelming sense of peace to the reader. I love this book!

I would recommend this book to everyone interested in miracles and angels...It is Ms.Anderson's usual high standard...I have read EVERYONE of her books and each one is better than the last. I stayed up until 5 A.M. reading the book since I could not put it down. The style is the type I love...short anecdotes about the subject. I especially loved the chapter about "When you Ask." I hope Ms. Anderson continues to write for a long time and I am looking forward to her book. Thank you,Amazon,for pricing these books where people can afford to buy.
