5.0 out of 5 stars A breathtaking portrayal of life, death and what lies beyond
The Angelwalk Trilogy is easily the one of the most moving books (or rather, series) I've ever read. Elwood clearly and passionately portrays the greatness that can come out of tragedy, the pervading evil that can hide behind even the most seemingly harmless facets of modern life. He shows us the overwhelming beauty of Heaven and the gut-wrenching horror of hell. And...

1.0 out of 5 stars This is Christian fiction???
I was completely horified at some of the things I read in this book. There were such unbelievable stereotypes in this book that kept me reading just to find out if at some point Elwood would somehow appologize! I am extremely disappointed that this is labeled Christian fiction. Jesus love for people all over the world is not apparent anywhere in this book, rather it...

5.0 out of 5 stars A breathtaking portrayal of life, death and what lies beyond, December 1, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
And through Elwoods mastery of the written word we are given audience to the workings of the spiritual, unseen in our physical realm. Biting social commentary and powerful, sometimes disturbing imagery usher us into a world in which an elusive Satan and his sometimes reluctant hordes confront the forces of Almighty God for domination... Our own. The Angelwalk Trilogy is nothing short of a work of genius. Both engaging and breathtaking as a novel and peppered with enough spiritual truths to be used as a devotional, Roger Elwood's Angelwalk Trilogy is essential reading for the literary Christian

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking., November 18, 2001
This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
I have read the angelwalk series..and I can still remember the feeling of awe...as thoughts and ideas were sparked by Roger Elwoods words and his way of pointing out things in our Culture and in the world around us that I had never thought about before.
He opened My eyes to emotions and led My mind to brainstorming and re-evaluating circumstances and "political" at times; issues that I had once thought I was solute on. He inspired the most sincere inner look at My own christian philosophy..and with such ease..I am a devout christian..and I assure You..that his words opened My eyes..I would recommend this series of books to anyone who wants to take an inner look at themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bomb, November 13, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
This is the best book I have ever read in my entire life. Everyone I know that has read the book cannot put it down. I read 75% of the book when I first opened it up. I almost read the entire book in one sitting. It rocks! It should be a movie! It is so good that someone should actually charge you admission to read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Angelwalk Trilogy capable of raising hair on numbed minds., December 1, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
IF you've had plenty of peanut butter lately, get ready for lobster.

With abundance of "The End is Near" books, articles and sermons, it's easy to become numbed to issues that should stand your hair on end.

Elwood's Angelwalk trilogy cuts succinctly through politically correct stances and propaganda- to the heart of modern issues.

His concise prose is evocative without being manipulative- and this series seems to be a more intense experience than Peretti's Darkness books.

The images he creates will stay with you for years- the message he pens is timeless.

The single distraction- but an interesting one- is trying to identify public figures who were the inspiration for some of the characters.

Don't miss reading this wonderfully written series! Readers and writers will be inspired by his skill in drawing the reader into a personal relationship with the characters while delivering a message that will be with them long after the book is closed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light for a dark world, August 2, 2002
This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
These books focus on the way that Satan has led many astray. They are brutally honest; Elwood has not painted the fallen angels and fallen humanity in pretty rose-colored hues. I have honestly not found one single sinful act in these books that is not described in the Bible as sin.

Do you believe that Jesus really is the Way? Do you believe that The Bible is the word of God and not made up by man? These books will certainly make you think about what is to come during eternity. I believe the author shows a great deal of compassion for his fellow humans and a desire to only put forth what will glorify God and help those lost see how wrong the path they are on is. By seeing the dark side--perhaps more will accept the forgivness that is offered through Christ.

"Choose this day whom you will serve."

This review is from: The Angelwalk Trilogy: Angelwalk / Fallen Angel / Stedfast Guardian Angel (Hardcover)
A poorly-written fundamentalist screed thinly disguised as fiction, this ecstatic vision of a moronic mind is made readable only by the abundance of purely unintentional humor.
