Angie and Debbie Winans, the youngest members of the famed Winans family, made a wonderful gospel album back in 1993. I still think that the heirloom of those Winans is felt in them too. There's a funky R&B hip-hop feel on most of the songs, but the emphasis is spiritual as well as universal in the lyrics. The girls sound strong vocally on all tracks. I still like Fact Is, Truth Is, Simply a Fanatic and Flashback. The duo got strong response for Light of Love with Whitney Houston. Even during the Bodyguard soundtrack's massive success, she managed to record a song with Angie and Debbie. There's such a funkiness to Flashback for its 6 minutes and it rivals most of TLC's hits and Left Eye's familiar rap sections. Once again another dynamic gospel album from that period!

I am a Winans family fan. I did not know of Angie and Debbie until a this CD popped up on Amazon.
The music sounds 80ish and all of their lyrics speak truth. It's for someone who wants to stay spiritual minded in this evil world.

When this album came out I was in the 1st or 2nd grade. I fell in love with the album as a child because it wasnt traditional gospel but a great contemperory gospel feel that a younger person would love. I am 23 yrs old now and this album is still one of my favorites. Come to me and What a place are my favorites. The lyrics really touch you and make you feel warm. The whole album is great so if you dont have it get it!
