4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent vocals, with heart and soul, December 19, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Angiolini (Audio CD)
Ambra caught me with the first track, "Tu Sei", a fast-paced, lyric-filled number that has a very catchy beat. The rest of the album is a little more subtle, a balance of pop and thoughtful ballads, which is not necessarily a bad thing. "Oggi No" is a great song (along with the reprise), that demonstrates Ambra's range. If you would like to broaden your musical horizons a bit, and include some popular Italian music in your bag-o-tricks, and impress your friends, this album is a good choice. For non-native Italians, it will likely take 2-5 "listens" to truly appreciate and "get into" the album, but once you do, you will be hooked, even if you do not speak/understand Italian. Then buy Irene Grandi's album, "Per Fortuna Portruppo", and you'll will want to move to Rome or Milan.
