4.0 out of 5 stars Great Overview and Connections, November 28, 2010
This review is from: Anglican and Evangelical? (Paperback)
I was loaned this by my local priest. I found it to be a good, brief survey of the intertwined histories of these two movements. Turnbull has a very even-handed and fair perspective, pointing out strengths and weaknesses of various positions. I was encouraged by how tightly these two traditions are intertwined historically.

Recommended reading for any Evangelical considering a move toward Anglicanism.

I would have given five stars, but Turnbull's perspective is decidedly focused on England more than worldwide Anglicanism. (Though he does speak of them.) I would have liked to see more comments regarding the rest of Anglicanism, but, I understand having to limit the scope of such a work.
