Well illustrated kids' book (age 9-12) that familiarises the reader with this country- its history (arrival of the Portugese, slavery, colonial times then independence and civil war); its different ethnic groups (and theit lifestyle including art, sport and festivals) and the economy. Undoubtedly its conclusion on Angola today will be somewhat out of date (published 1990) but generally informative
