4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Bits of Prose, January 23, 2002

This review is from: God's Angry Babies (Three Continents Press) (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for people wanting a bittersweet and honest depiction of urban life in the islands. Its quixotic hero and creative narrative structure will hold you. Ian Strachan must have lived two lives over, with eyes and ears wide open, to capture life with such color and accuracy. Excellent representation of Bahamian dialect. Why didn't I hear about this one on NPR?
