1.0 out of 5 stars The Dark Marketing is Strong with this One May 4, 2014
Verified Purchase
If you are someone who is careful over Privacy Permissions, despise heavy marketing adverts and immersive IAP in a paid game, stay AWAY from this game. Seriously. Not kidding. This is my first 1 star FAOTD.

**I had added the following 15 mins after posting very early this morning, but in case folks aren't seeing it and not understanding at this point the Camera Access is not even the focal issue any more, but Rovio's mining and explicit policy on what they will do with said info, I am moving the statement in a more visible position.** *I happen to stumble into why Camera Access permission is included. I noticed a link in an older review, Angry Birds Star Wars Telepods Jedi Vs. Sith Multi-Pack. Curious as always, I took a look. Apparently there are these lil toy extras that you have to take a picture of in order to use that character in the game (per play session). So there IS a legitimate reason! And suprise, it's for more marketing! Yay! My rating stands. Blargh.*

I was actually rather excited about ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS II, having just bought the LEGOS STAR WARS MICROFIGHTERS game for my youngest brother. I was like, "Oh cool, double score!" And what is the first thing that my eyes fall on when I am installing?

"Oh heck, no." So I open up the game, go into the Information sub-menu, click Rovio's privacy policy, and said "Oh heck, no" again. Have to give Rovio credit, they didn't beat around the bush saying that they collect all manner personal information to use how they see fit (that also includes passing it all to other vendors, aka Select Partners, for a likely select price).

3.0 out of 5 stars More ads than ever November 1, 2013
Verified Purchase
The game is, of course, great. Lots of fun characters and beautiful graphics. BUT more ads than ever, more offers to buy super-powers then I've ever seen in Rovio products, and even ads for non-related products and games. I've been an Angry Birds fan since they first came out, but now I'm just an Angry Fan, and this will be my last purchase of any Rovio Entertainment product. They have really crossed the line with the ads.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why does this app need access to my camera? December 25, 2013
Verified Purchase
As many have noted already, the permissions this app requires are excessive and questionable. However the most confusing of these is the 'access camera device'. What purpose does this serve other than the ability to capture my image and my surroundings at the whim of the Rovio organization? And how, exactly, does that enhance my in-game experience? When did the NSA purchase Rovio?

1.0 out of 5 stars Permissions Nightmare May 4, 2014
Verified Purchase
Amazon has been very good for weeks about delivering Free Apps of the day with light and acceptable permissions. They must have thought they were safe here with a major franchise game that licenses a major movie franchise.

However, when the list of permissions is a nightmare, the list of permissions is a nightmare. So is the Privacy Policy (we'll grab EVERYTHING about you we can, and sell it to ANYONE we want to, so there!). So is their In-App Purchases.

Savvy customers have been just sayin' No to these types of permissions for a long while now, and if we keep doing it, maybe these devs will get the message. We have to make it more expensive to face the rejection of the public than to give up selling the public's information to spammers and banner advertisers.

With this level of intrusiveness, I cannot recommend this app at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars One Giant Ad Game November 24, 2013
Verified Purchase
If you don't want ads in your game then buy this for a $1. However, the game is nothing but a giant ad to pay for power ups. Waste of time and definitely money.

1.0 out of 5 stars IAP & Data Mining December 25, 2013
Verified Purchase
Too many people pay no attention to permissions of apps they put on their phones. The whole angry birds set turned into data farming long ago. This one is no different. Doesn't matter how good any game is. But a paid version to mine and still throw ads and IAP. What is the point other them to pad their pockets.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great addition! September 19, 2013

This is a great Angry Birds Star Wars sequel/prequel! The graphics are amazing and the animation is outstanding! They have programmed it to display properly with whatever device you are using, tablets or cell phones, so it looks sweet no matter what you are playing on. A lot of fun!

Is this any different from the free version?
There is not that much difference, really, except that the free version has advertisements. They can get annoying, so I'd rather buy the paid version, if I were you, except if you don't mind the ads.

Does this work on the Nabi 2?

Go to that webpage and you can download it and install it on the Nabi 2. On the Amazon App store it won't let you download it to the Nabi 2 for whatever reason. It works fine on my kids Nabi 2 though.
