This is the first record of Lacrimosa.
At that time(1991) it wasn't a band: it was the project of THILO. But it's wondrful. There are no comments.
"Seele in Not" is magical piece and on,and on,and on........
Try also to get "EINSAMKEIT" and "SATURA".
JUST NO COMMENTS.

A solo project from Tilo Wolff that marked the beginning of Lacrimosa. The melodies and the atmosphere in this album are great, hardly any words to describe!

BRIEF INTRO TO THE ARTIST: Vocals in German and voice is an accquired taste. Music is Classical with Metal (NOT YET IN THIS CD)mixed in a vessel of saddness and romanticism. Accesible, but then not for everyone. Beautiful b/w drawings as album covers. Studio Albums: 1991 Angst (Fear), 1992 Einsamkeit (Loneliness), 1993 Satura, 1995 Inferno, 1997 Stille (Silence), 1999 Elodia , 2001 Fassade , 2003 Echos , 2005 Lichtgestalt (Creature of the Light) 2009 Sehnsucht (Longing), 2012 Revolution. Tip: begin with “Stille”album (1997).

Disclaimer: Sorry for my spelling, I try to express myself in English. Also, I love Lacrimosa. I have all their (his) albums. Now, the truth about this particular effort..

I love Lacrimosa. This is the first delivery of Mr Tilo, but do not start here (or the next 2 albums). You will thank me later.

Anyway, if still interested, I’ll add a little (just my opinion.... Some say it is atmospheric on purpose. Well… The first song is the most interesting for the mood, his image, his gothic-ness, audacity. I liked it. The Second song seems 9 minutes of a soundtrack of a movie. There is a melody but no even in 2 minutes the song stars (is this rock? Even if you call it ‘gothic’?). Singing starts at 3 minutes but only with some basic keyboars in the background that makes this song (and the whole album by the way) seem like a demo. Five minutes later and you’ll be desesperate ( I did… err… am). I know it is called ‘Requiem’ but… it seems an improvisation with a brand new (keyboard) toy. Skip. Don’t wait for the finale .

The Third track I think it is more …demo. Seriously, this should not have been included in an ‘album’ per se.
