Book Description

November 1988 0960945652 978-0960945658
The ultimate gift to a friend who has had a death or significant loss in their life or to yourself if you are suffering. This memorable piece of art mirrors life after a loss and in the ensuing months and years. The reader will experience the full page sculptures and accompanying prose in their own unique way, but there is no doubt they will be deeply touched. There is nothing like thi--seeing and feeling these beautiful sculptures by Julie Fritsch and opening one's heart to understanding what one goes through when a loved one dies or any painful loss occurs. Julie experienced the death of her baby, but only a few sculptures deal specifically with that. Most carry the reader into the process of hurting and healing.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars don't give this book justice, December 14, 2005

This review is from: The Anguish of Loss (Paperback)
I purchased this book after suddenly losing my son in early pregnancy. I have never been so touched by pictures. It is an amazing book that truly puts a picture on the range of emotions that you feel when you lose a child. It helped my husband and I to communicate when we couldn't find the words to comfort each other. Eventually, it helped that raw feeling go away and I began to heal. I would recommend this book to anyone that has lost a child.
