I bought a copy of this book as a quick present for my brother, who loves beer. After reading through it, I bought another copy for myself. I thought it would be filled with bar food or recipes that use beer in all recipes with little regard to taste. This is not the case. The recipes are excellent and most are easy to make. Sunset magazine has collaborated with Anheuser-Busch to create sophisticated recipes and beer recommendations for each. Everyone I made so far has been great, whether enjoyed with beer or not. This book is impressively comprehensive and covers everything from appetizers to desserts. Excellent cook book!

My husband picked up this cookbook and it is one of the best we have ever found. It is full of easy to make recipes with very different tastes.

I had an earlier edition of the Budweiser Cook Book which was great but my copy got a little tore up from moving over the years and using it frequently. So when I saw this newer edition, I was elated. This newer edition is thicker and has more recipes but it left out some of my favorites and I don't care for the newer edition as much as I did for the old one.

Accurate order received in a timely manner. It has a lot of great and easy recipes. It was a great buy and worth the money

This is the BEST cookbook I have EVER used. The recipes are normal things that just about anybody would be able to find in a store and afford.

I have gotten other cookbooks in the past where the ingredients end up causing each meal to cost upwards of $50 and it's just so great to have something that has normal, everyday stuff in it.


There are no fewer than five recipes in this book that have become absolute STAPLES in my household:
The Baja Fish Tacos are PHENOMENAL
The Thai Satay Chicken with Pineapple Relish is amazing
The Light Swedish Meatballs are a favorite
The Steak with Chimichurri Sauce is excellent
The Ranch Chili is an absolute favorite (just thinking about it makes me want to have some...)
and
The Black and White Cookies are devilishly delicious


and that's just off the top of my head.

My minor complaints include:
I wanted a few more recipes with beer IN them
The beef recipes tend to be among the weaker, less inventive ones
I wish they would recommend full MEALS - pairings of their meats and sides - a little more. It happens once or twice, but I would like to see it done more often.

Excellent cook book, but hard to find a lot of the ingredients in the recipes being that I live in a fairly rural community

A Friend of mine - we share cook secrets and books etc... He shared this book with me - The large printing and great photos intice you to read on and try the "Great Food" presented. I love this one its a great add to my collection

But this is a fabulous cookbook. The dishes are hearty but not simplistic. Divided up into sections for seafood, appetizers, etc. there are dishes that will make your mouth water whether or not you have beer with them.

I'm not sure how many copies of this book I have purchased, it's such a wonderful gift (and of course, I have my own copy and have yet to try a bad recipe). The food is excellent and the beer suggestions really do add a little something extra. I've given this book to men and women alike, and hear great feedback everytime.

Saw this book on the shelf at a local store and after getting home and thinking about it, just had to have it. It's very nicely done with absolutely delicious recipes and the beers that will compliment them. So it's a great one for foodies and brew lovers alike.
