5.0 out of 5 stars You've got to be kidding?
Possibly one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, albums ever recorded. . . simply the plaintive call, "where is the new America?" lifts this so-called "pop" album up there with the best. . . it's deep, personal, and musically and engineeringly (is that a word?) adverturous beyond most of today's slim efforts. . . and this babe's 25 years old...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lucio's One Mistake
I'm sorry to say I can't recommend this album. Due Mondi is the only piece in it that is good and it can be found in other collections of his work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some of the Best Music ever Created, April 20, 2004
This review is from: Anima Latina (Audio CD)
This album is one of the least popular, yet it is by far Lucio Battisti's best album. This is music that transcends time itself. It is now 30 years old and still going strong. I am 43, and I introduced Battisti to some 18-22 year olds and they were amazed at the original sounds. The experimentation is thrilling - I wish he carried on on this wave, instead he went straight into disco, punk and house... well... still like some of those later notes, mind you.

If you want to like this album, first listen to it a few times before you decide it's crap - don't do like the 70s Battisti fans - it was too avante garde for them - still is today :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius, June 22, 2005

This work is one of my favorites (as an album) - unbelievable for 1974! I really thought the work was much later (more recent) when I first heard this. He was WAY ahead of his time; no doubt why he is still so popular with young people when they discover him. This particular cd is meant to be listened to as one piece - it flows as one work. The music is like "world music" and brilliantly put together and performed. Highly recommended; in fact, I never write reviews - only of Lucio (as much as I love music and so many artists - he alone moves me to write about what he did in this life).

5.0 out of 5 stars Battisti more experimental album!!, December 28, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Anima Latina (Audio CD)
This is the Battisti's more experimental album so i not reccomend this one to the people that know only the first Battisti, I bet it's better to begin with something more simple than this. Anima Latina is the best song ever recorded by Battisti it's a great piece of world music (not a common thing in the first 70'!!!) with great lyrics but all the album is great, may Due Mondi is the most pop song anyway I really reccomend this album to the people that like experimental music and a great studio work...
