Deftly written by John Behrman (who, as a child, was not allowed any pets), Animal Chronicles: An Odyssey is the thoughtful story of himself and his wife - a pet-loving married couple who care for Dalmatians, lizards, birds, turtles, cats, and even a rare and amazing Zebronkey. Personal anecdotes, stories of animal behavior, solid advice about medical conditions and treatments for sick pets, and above all an enduring joy for sharing time with beloved creature companions permeate this gentle and memorable account. Animal Chronicles is recommended reading for anyone who has every enjoyed the companionship of another species.
