The pictures are nice, and baby seems to like looking at them (she's 8 months old). However the bengali names of animals and colors are written in the bengali script, which isn't great for my husband (who doesn't speak bengali) to be able to read the bengali version to our baby (or himself!)

It's such a cute book, but as a non-native Arabic speaker, I cannot read the book to my daughter because it doesn't have the diacritical marks written on the letters. Diacritical marks are really important because they tell you what vowel sounds are in the words. If you are a native speaker, you will already be familiar with the vocabulary so this book is GREAT for you. However,there were some mistakes between the plural and singular forms. For example: there was only 1 "grey elephant" but the plural form (3 or more) was written in Arabic. Also, the "red birds" (showing 3) were written in singular form--can't believe an editor didn't catch this. This is not good if you truly want this book to help your child learn Arabic.

I bought this book as a gift for a baby who's turning 1. The pictures are all babies expressing all different kind of feelings. Super Adorable. Both english/arabic. :)

Simple book in concept, but nice colors and you can make your conversation with your child about each animal. It's a wonderful book for introducing both Arabic and English to children.

Sometimes we've bought books for our nephew (his mother speaks Arabic natively, and they want him to be bilingual) and we've found that they are great... except that they still read left to right, we were happy to see this one reads right to left, even in the way the book is bound. Dropped it into my sink by accident, got wet, and it wiped off perfectly, will definitely be looking for more hard page books like these.

I'm trying to learn Arabic and I thought I might try the same way I learned English--Now I just need a nice Arabic grandma to read to me...

One of those books that just incaptures you with its color. Great for those little ones who are drawn in by vibrant colors.
