5.0 out of 5 stars has every item!, December 22, 2006

This is really handy for "collectors" in the game. It has color photos of every shirt, bug, furniture, wallpaper etc. You could go through and check them off so you never lose track of all the stuff you've got in the game!

The pages of the book had a few folded edges, but overall, the book was in good condition. The content of the book is good; it explains how to play the game well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth it, October 15, 2011

I purchased Animal Crossing along with the Nintendo guide back when they came out nearly a decade ago. I was a Gamestop employee then and remember looking through this guide as well as the Prima guide. The Nintendo one was by far the better guide as far as I am concerned. I played the heck out of the game back in the day and owe a lot of my success to this guide. It tells you just about everything you could possibly want to know!

I recently got a craving to play the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing again and can't find my guide for the life of me. I thought long and hard about reordering it, thinking that instead I could just use the internet to answer my questions. But, quite honestly, this guide is so perfect and helpful, its layout so easy and concise, that for the price of a used one, it is well worth the investment. So much easier to flip through this book than to do a Google search.

If you find yourself playing (or replaying) this classic game and find yourself wondering, "When is the best time to catch a Crawfish?" or, "How do I know what items are Redd originals and which ones are rip-offs?" or even, "How do I use Feng Shui to increase my HRA rating?" then this guide will answer your questions, not to mention tell you lots of helpful stuff you never even thought to wonder about!

I highly recommend. And it doesn't take the fun out of the game like many guide books do, as far as I'm concerned; it just saves you the aggravation of wandering around aimlessly for hours trying to catch a fish/bug that, had you read the book, you would know only appears under certain conditions, and that sort of thing. It's hard to have spoilers in a game like this, where eventually your townspeople will start talking to you about upcoming events and the like so don't worry about ruining surprises!
