I received exactly what I needed!
Christina Rush
Includes a ton of pictures, diagrams, and infographics that really help the reader make visual connections with complicated vocabulary.
Dalana
This book is extremely dry, uninteresting, and entirely too in depth for the introductory zoology classes it was created for.

I usually do not buy the recommended textbook for my classes but I'm glad I bought this book. It gives another point of view besides what my professor went over in class. The book is extremely well organized and each significant classification was given a "General Characteristics" box at the beginning of the chapter. This was a great tool to compare and contrast even small differences between each phylum or class. It went into details on things my professor skimmed through but expected students to know for exams.

This book is very informative and has a lot of detail. It is very helpful for classes involving animal taxonomy. Each chapter is organized very well. The pages are too shiny and on the verge of being too thin. The font is also slightly too wide and annoying to read.

Book is okay. Material within individual chapters could be organized better. More anatomic photographs would be helpful. Book falls apart after use- pages come out. This should be sold as a hard cover text and not soft cover.

Needed this book for one of my biology classes. So far it's a great book and very easy to read. This is the first time I have downloaded a kindle version of a textbook and so far I love it.

Book was basically free compared to the newer edition. Now I do not care much for the on-line portion of textbooks and counterparts and blah blah blah so I was not worried about needing an access code or anything of that nature. The teacher said get something cheap and affordable and I stumbled across this. The information is well presented and not much has changed between the multiple iterations of this textbook. The pictures are illuminating and can keep most readers hooked as well as provide solid evidence instead of cold plain facts.

Sincerely, iSklcndykid

when it comes to the book itself, well it is too technical for an introduction to zoology class, most of the things have been touched on in earlier classes but they go too much in depth in this one and without the right teaching style it can be very confusing

Great price and saved on fuel. this book is priced better than at the school. I will purchase more books for school from Amazon as long as it makes sense when it comes to saving money. Thank you Amazon and Prime!
