But I bought it, and I'm glad I did. It is not cheaply made, the 'beak' is rubberized so it is a nice feel in the hand. A decent weight also makes it feel you are getting a quality product. All that aside, it is even cuter in person. Bright color, nicely made, will make a great gift if you can part with it!

I was soooo bummed that it broke. It was the cutest can opener I ever owned. I want to buy another one just so I can use it. It has a wonderfully comfortable handle. But after a few uses, it refused to cut the can. The wheel was too close to the other part and it wouldn't let me loosen it. I bought the tupperware one this time as we have gone through 3 openers since November. They are all made so cheap these days. Where is the quality control???

I am adding to this review after I bought a second one. This one has not broken and I am so glad I bought a new one because its so cute!

I bought this cute little Toucan Can Opener quite a few months ago because my husband didn't like the electric one I had. Why can't men work those things? He had his doubts about this one but now he loves it. He usually opens all the cans for me and helps with the cooking. Yes, he is well trained! Now, we both use it. I have a touch of arthritis in my hands and the design makes it easy to open most any can. Just don't tell my husband!

Having a love for kitschy kitchen utensils when my current, boring can opener broke i jumped on ordering this one. However due to the curving of the toucan "beak" you can't press the handles close enough together to get a tight enough grip on the can to open it. Sadly had to return and even more sadly purchased another plain, boring can opener. But at least it opens cans...

I've gotten a lot of heavy duty can openers over the years but they never seem to last. I love this can opener. I got it 3years ago for myself and I bought it for my friends as housewarming gifts. It has that creative flair and gets the job done without breaking.

I loved this when it first arrived, really cute, but after a couple months of use it stopped easily opening cans and eventually it became so difficult it went in the trash, total waste of my money...

I've had this can opener for 2 years now. I bought it after having had a few very cheap can openers and one not so cheap can opener. Before I bought this cutie, I had been going through a can opener a month! I'm thankful that it's held up because it always makes me happy to use (it's just so cute!). The rubberized handle/beak is also very comfortable. I'm not sure why other reviewers had such bad luck with theirs--though, because of my previous misfortune with can openers I learned to never put one in the dishwasher. I always wash mine by hand.

I love the style, but seriously the crappiest can opener i have ever bought. It won't do it's job at all. I hate to part with it because it makes me smile, but seriously Boston Warehouse, how dare you charge $15 for a can opener with form but no function? You should be ashamed.

I love the color and the construction. It's a high quality can opener, best one I've ever owned, and it looks great.

I've bought this can opener 2 times. The first one I had lasted less than a year. Thought I did something wrong and broke it. It just wouldn't turn anymore and I couldn't loosen it. So, I bought another one, thinking must be me. The second one has done the same thing. I'm so disappointed. I love this line and have many pieces. I just can't figure it out. If anyone has any suggestions, please post. Otherwise, I'll just have to use my very plain, very boring can opener.
