5.0 out of 5 stars The Animal Kingdom is not about animals, March 26, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Animal Kingdom: Considered Anatomically, Physically, and Philosophically (Hardcover)
Currently all of the online reviews of this book are in error. Swedenborg's book on "The Animal Kingdom" was written in Latin and should have been translated "The Kingdom of the Anima" or "Kingdom of the Soul." It is a fascinating and insightful account by a man who by all accounts was a veritable genius. He was an 18th century scientist, philosopher and, later, theologian. This book documents part of his quest to discover if the human soul could be found within its "kingdom," namely, the human body.
