Don't let the Animal Planet brand sway you!, October 5, 2010
I purchased one of Animal Planet's fleece pet beds at Bed Bath & Beyond for my 24lb dog. I didn't realize it when I purchased it but the bottom panel was made from a loosely woven, somewhat shiny black material, similar to the cheap polyester fabric used for reusable shopping satchels. When it went into the dryer (on the normal heat setting) it melted onto itself, making crimped and burned areas that are nearly worn through. It will probably last another few months at best. My advice: stay away from Animal Planet products.
