My 4 year old son saw this same set at a neighbor's house and he didn't want to put them down! LITERALLY! (We had to carry him home screaming apologizing profusely for his behavior to everyone) Even days after, he wanted to go over and play with them. But the screaming episode afterward kept bugging me and didn't want to go through that again.

So I asked my neighbor where she got them and logged on to Amazon.com to find them. The local Toys R Us were sold out.
For less then $25- it's a great collection.
With so many dinosaurs in various sizes, trees, rocks, volcanos and a playmat in a great carrying case- I couldn't resist to get them.

We took them to the beach just last week and there were 3 other kids ranging in ages of 2 to 5 and we were amazed how quiet they were playing with them. Only problem was getting them back from them when it was time to come home. It was their turn to scream =)

The names of the dinosaurs are underneath them, so if Mom and Dad can't remember which is which, flip them over and with confidence call out the name. Therefore impressing the kids to the end of the earth. "Mom you are so smart" my son once told me. Hey, it felt good!
And soon you and the kids will be able to recognize their names without peeking.

Great gift for all ages and he continues to play with them months later. ahhh peace and quiet.

I got this for my two year old for his birthday - he and his twin sister just love it. I just took out the "bag of rocks" that came with it. All the dinos are large enough for all those under 3.
He even picked out the dino that looked just like the one that stole the egg from the nest in the Dinosour movie. It took me a while to figure out waht "Dini, egg" meant!!
They run around roaring at each other! And for some reason this is the one toy they will actually put away back in it's box!

My 3 year old son loves dinosaurs. This was the perfect gift! It has a wonderful assortment of different dinos, and they are well made.My 9 year old daughter loved it too. Even the box they come in is great. The only disappointment was the playmat that comes with it is easily torn. All in all this toy is worth the money.

I bought this toy for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She does like playing with it and has learned the names of quite a few dinosaurs.

Pros: Comes with its own box & everything actually fits back into the box. She seems to like the play mat that comes along with it. I like the fact that the dinosaurs' names are printed on the underside. I was really into dinosaurs as a kid, but I've forgotten a few names. She has other dinosaur sets w/o names and they look like some company just made a bunch of bunch of plastic stuff that looked like a random, hodgepodge dinosaur.

Cons: Only one beef...the dinosaurs aren't even close to scale. Apatosaurus is roughly the same size of veloceraptor. There are two brachiosaurs, but one is smaller. However, they look identical to each other (except for size). Thus, we have been able to discuss that one is a "baby dinosaur". There are also two stegosaurs and they aren't the same size and don't look much like the other.

Part of the fun with dinosaurs is the size difference and this set just kind of messed that up.

My children now 2 & 4 years old got this toy for Christmas last year, 2001. It's now about a year later and they still play with this set. We're constantly picking up dinosaurs, or looking for dinosaurs because somebody wants to sleep with one or bring one in the car. They play with them in the sandbox, in their bed, in the car, and often is their toy of choice to go along when we're visiting somewhere. Most of our toys are played with once a month or less but the dinosaurs are an almost daily thing. Definitely got our moneys worth. The plastic playmat is not durable. Ours is not torn yet but it gets attention about once a month compared to the rest of the set's constant use.

some kids have favorite toys which they can grow out of, get bored with etc.. The fun with this play set is, no matter how young or old your child is, if they like dinosaurs the fun is endless with this playset.. there is so many different varities of dino's to choose from that its hard to choose your favorite, also, the accessories add the imagination of real life dino atmosphere... They can learn about the different species, what they ate, who could fly, swim, who was bigger, faster.. etc... this is an awsome all round toy..

in the reveiws, i saw alot of age ranges, from 2 1/2 to 12!!!!!! This toy is great if you like dinosaurs and my friend is 11 and has this toy too. i like playing with it alot (it is fun for the dinosaurs to attack my Geotrax train set!....witch is also a great toy you can find on amazon) these dinosaurs are great (5 thumbs up to my favorite dinosaur the brachosaurus, who is also the biggest in the set i should add.....) But at first when i was getting this toy i was looking forward to the playmat, but now i dont even play with that or the rocks, volcanos or tree's, dinosaurs are the best part. and i realized that i actually put this toy back! i have a whole lot of toys and most of them are still out this very moment!!!!!!!! and i really like reading there names at the bottom of each dinosaur!!!!!!! Overall, this toy is a big hit (and for you moms out there, my mom tells me that this toy keeps me busy and quiet so she can relax!!!!!) and i totally reccomened it! i hope you enjoyed seeing a childs point of veiw on this toy!!!!!

I purchased this toy for a dinosaur loving little boy who lives in another state. I figured this was a good buy, to get him something different than the usual Wal-mart gift. (Hoping that I wasn't getting him something that he already had.)

He loved it! He loved the volcanoes.......that was way cool for him. And the fact that it could be packed up got rave reviews from the Mom.

If you've got a dinosaur lover, this is a great gift!

My grandson has been into dinosaurs since he was about 1 1/2; I think his first words were the names of the dinosaurs, especially from the Jurassic Period. He has every kind and size of dinosaur on the market, so when (for his fifth birthday) he told me he wanted a set for him to play with at my house I was really at a loss at what kind of set to get for him until I saw this one on-line. He loves it! The dinosaurs are perfectly sized to hold and move around the play mat; they can hide behind trees and rocks; and the tub is most convenient for storage, and the right size for AJ to carry it to where he wants to play with it in my home. You can't go wrong with this set of dinosaurs!

This is a fun set for kids who love dinosaurs, and my four-year-old son loves it. However, one of the connecting rock-bridge pieces broke easily. More troubling is that the dinosaurs are far from scientifically accurate, which to us is a big deal and which you would expect from an Imaginarium toy. However, the HUGE brachiosaurus with moveable legs is just great.
