The tracks are Animal Crackers, No More Monkeys, Nella Vecchia Fattoria, Aves, The Littlest Birds, The Three Bears, Cantiga do Sapo, L'Otorhinoceros, Bigi Kaiman, Don't Ever Step on a Snake, Eagles, If a Dinosaur Was My Friend, and Mbube. Drawing on musical traditions from nations as diverse as Trinidad, France, Netherlands, Brazil, South Africa, and much more, Animal Playground is sure to delight young animal lovers and is the perfect souvenir of a trip to the zoo.

I bought this CD for my 6 month old daughter. I was a bit tired of the traditional kids' music. She giggles at the songs and bounces and taps her feet to the music. Tons of fun for babies and kids as well as music that adults can tolerate. I would buy the CD for the Ladysmith Black Mambazo song "Mbube" (The Lion Sleeps Tonight) alone. I highly recommend this one!

We LOVE this album (yep, even my husband and me)!!! The songs are fun, engaging, and a joy to listen to. Definately our favorite kid's cd!

I purchased several copies of this cd at Costco (sorry Amazon) while pregnant one year ago. I gave two cd's to my nephews and saved the third cd for our baby due March 2010. I had not heard any of the music on the cd prior to my purchase, but had high hopes since I already owned several of the Putomayo music cd's for adults (from Amazon :). I am SO glad that I hung on to that third cd for our future baby because ever since the first time that we listened to the cd while building our baby's crib, my husband and I were completely hooked from the very first song. Our baby is now 9 months old and clearly recognizes all of the songs because he claps and smiles whenever we turn on this music. There is only one warning and that is that pretty much all the songs on the cd are addictive and you'll find yourselves singing them to yourself often. (Our nephews love the cd too.)

Putomayo puts out some great products. This CD is no exception. My 5 yr old has learned every song (so have I) and we have so much fun singing along in the car. Her favorite is trk 11. I chose to buy this CD and other Putomayo CDs because most music out there for kids seems to be made without integrity and frankly, is usually a painful listening experience.. Other kids music seems to embrace the idea that quality music is lost on children which is quite the opposite in my experiences. Amazon has a sample listening for some of these CDs. Take advantage of this is you have not done so already.
In conclusion, we love this CD and the songs will be part of my child's childhood memories.

I bought this CD at a Barnes & Noble or something several years ago. I lost it, and it's not available on iTunes. The Asheba track (No More Monkeys) is the only song I was interested in buying, but I love it so much it's worth buying the whole CD over again! The other tracks are okay but not many are in English which makes singing along a little tough. I really only needed the Asheba song and this was the only way to get it.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It was delivered in time and in best conditions. And now my family and I are enjoying it very much.

I bougth this cd for my daugther, she is only 7 months, we enjoy lisening and dancing all the songs.

My 6-month old and I dance and sing to this almost every day and we never get sick of it. Some of the other more traditional cds make you want to jump off a cliff after a while, but the music is so good on this album that it feels more for adults and kids than just kids. I am a total music lover, so am quite picky--and I love this album as much as my baby does.

This is our first Putumayo kid CD and we love it. The songs are enjoyable for baby and me - not something I can say about other kids' music. Because of this CD, I've sought out a few other Putumayo CDs - New Orleans playground (jazzy), World Music, and Reggae Playground. We like them all with this one, Animal Playground, being our favorite one.
