About the Artist
Simon is straight from the lineage of one of British musics most famous families. Baby brother of Who legend Pete Townshend, Simon has made a significant impact in his own right. Just ask his fans such as musician Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam who remarked on the value they have personally attached to Simons work. And, as brother Pete Townshend told Londons Daily Mail, hes brilliant. British and American papers have variously described his songs and performances as buoyant melodies with a randy youthful kick...soaring vocal harmonies...[and] irresistible chorus hooks pushed by the refreshing optimism of Simons voice (The Washington Post), impressive (Billboard), and supercharged... Townshend pushes the band to climax upon climax (The New York Times), wonderful melodic punch...truly enjoyable listening (Goldmine); a catharsis (The Los Angeles Times). In short, as Londons Gig Guide said, you would be a fool to miss them.
