About the Artist

Simon is straight from the lineage of one of British music’s most famous families. Baby brother of Who legend Pete Townshend, Simon has made a significant impact in his own right. Just ask his fans such as musician Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam who remarked on the value they have personally attached to Simon’s work. And, as brother Pete Townshend told London’s Daily Mail, “he’s brilliant.” British and American papers have variously described his songs and performances as “buoyant melodies with a randy youthful kick...soaring vocal harmonies...[and] irresistible chorus hooks pushed by the refreshing optimism of Simon’s voice” (The Washington Post), “impressive” (Billboard), and “supercharged... The energy on Animal Soup is amazing, Simon really reaches new highs and shows his strengths with this album. All parts are strong on this album and with Simon's son Ben on drums you cant miss out. My favorite songs are Blind As a Bat and Until Tomorrow. I would suggest buying this cd today I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

Typical 80's style AOR...immature songwriting and clumsy lyrics. If Simon wasn't Pete's brother, he would not be in the music business at all.
