Taxonomic Classic,

If you're really into taxonomy, this is a must-read. It's a classic work, but some parts were too technical and could be boring for the non-specialist. On the other hand, the various kinds of species were described in detail, with many examples, and the history and hierarchy of the taxonomic science was covered. Basically, I came away from the book with a deeper appreciation for the difficulties involved in naming new (and old) organisms.
