I bought this book since we also own "A Frog in the Bog" by Karma Wilson. Since that one was a favorite, I thought this book was a shoe in. Little did I know, it would quickly become the most popular book with all 3 boys (5 yrs-16 mo). They love the colorful animal illustrations & the rhythmic flow of the text. If they hear me reading it to one boy, they come running & want me to read it over & over. THIS BOOK IS A WINNER!!!

I love all of Karma Wilson's books. My almost 4 year old does too! The art in her books is always great, too. I treasure them all and enjoy reading them to my child.

I bought this for my nephew for his third birthday and he loved it! My three year old also loves this book (we checked it out from the library). The rhyming in this book is great (classic Karma Wilson) and the illustrations are beautiful.

I bought this book to read to my Kindergarten class during Zz week and they loved it. The Scholastics audio read is an excellent addition to the text and the children love to listen to it again and again at the listening center.

My kids and I really love this book! It is so cute and I can see it being one of their favorites for years to come and then for my younger daughter as she gets older as well! Excellent book, would recommend to anyone!

Both my 5 year old and 3 year old LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. The story is so cute and the pictures are great. Karma Wilson just has a wonderful way of capturing the imagination. Even my sons preschool loved this book. I read it during a summer story time and there were many age groups and even the bigger kids loved this book. It is definately a book for all ages!!! Well done Ms. Wilson!!!

My daughter is 3 1/2 and this is becoming one of her favorite books. The illustrations are very beautiful in it as well. It is a good book for a child 3-4 years old.

My 3-year-old son loves this book. It has catchy rhymes that are silly and a lot of animal pictures. It is one of his favorite books and one I love to read as I can put a lot of feeling into it. This is one of Karma Wilson's funniest books and the illustrations are great.

This book has been in our library for at least 3 years. I used to read it to my son who is now 7. He had to recently do a book report and guess what he chose? You're right Animal strike at the zoo. he read it to me daily so he knows the story. he loved the story and wishes that he could be Sue at the Zoo.
this story doesn't get old infact it pushes his imagination and creativity. Love it!

As a picture book, this is great to read to your toddlers and preschoolers. And a true joy is listening to your early readers work through it, because it is full of phonics sets (for example, roaring/soaring/snoring/boring and prowling/howling/growling/scowling). The illustrations are great, and I love the size of this book.
