I recommend this album and all of Mr. Bird's music wholeheartedly! I was unfamiliar with his skills as a performer until recently when I was privileged to hear him in person. I bought two of his albums and intend to buy more to give as gifts. The music on "Animal Totems" is excellent to either relax with, meditate,or contemplate the world. Track 8 - "Red Tail Hawk" is fantastically beautiful and poignant, the violin and piano combine for a wonderful mood piece.

I had never heard of Mr. Bird until today when I experienced his talent firsthand at the Mohican Powwow in Ohio. No lengthy review needed here...his music will speak to you. Animal Totems will free your soul! Keep a song in your heart, Arvel!

It's hard to imagine the mix of Native American, Celtic and Blues mixed until you hear how seamlessly Arvel has married them. The essence (spirit) of the animals has been captured beautifully in these songs. It has been a long time since I have heard so many magical moments on on album. It flows, moves, and yes, it even rocks. This for me is one of the great finds in recent years.

I had seen Arvel Bird play and was very moved by his artistic work.

After The show I met him and bought his CD and he signed it for me.

This is such a good CD to relax with and let all of life's troubles slip away! Thank you Arvel!

I recently attended a Native American Pow Wow in Mt. Dora, FL and met Arvel Bird. His musical talents are superb - bought several albums and want to buy more. I can't wait until next year's Pow Wow to see him again. Thank you, Arvel!

Went to a Native American Festival and listen to Arvel Bird play. It was unreal, the sound of his fidle is magnificent. We got several CD, Animal Totems 1 and 2, recommend both. So relaxing.
