Where's all the good songs?, June 12, 2001
This review is from: The Animal (Audio CD)
I first saw The Animal on its opening day during the first showing. When I saw the previews for it, I thought, "Wow, there's some good music in those previews, the movie should have a good soundtrack. And when I saw the movie, I thought, "Wow, this movie has some good songs. The movie should have a good soundtrack." And when I finally got the soundtrack, I was extremely dissapointed! In the movie I heard Offspring, and there was a really good song that was played at the beginning of the movie, but half of the songs weren't even in the movie! (literally, it says so on the back of the cd case) But the reason I give it two stars is because they had a good idea gong for them. All the songs on the soundtrack are techno. I'm glad that someone finally decided to put techno on a soundtrack, but none of the techno on here is very good. If you want good music like the kind they actually played in the movie, try a Smash Mouth or Offspring album. And if you want better techno music, get the Chemical Brothers or Fatboy Slim. But the bottom line is, the good songs that were in the movie weren't on the soundtrack, and the songs that are either bad or not in the movie are on the soundtrack.

The Animal Soundtrack, October 13, 2001
This review is from: The Animal (Audio CD)
The CD was a pitiful excuse for the great songs in the movie--a total waste of money.
