A beautiful little book, great fun for my kids and me. Has held up over 4 children.

Wildsmith's artwork is very appealing in this little board book for children. The images for this book were originally published in other books, but they work wonderfully in this book that counts from 1 to 10. Each page presents a number of animals corresponding to the featured number (1 monkey, 2 deer, 3 mice, 4 butterflies, 5 birds, 6 hedgehogs, 7 fish, 8 hippos, 9 racoons, and 10 foxes). The number is represented numerically with the name of the animal below it (no other text).

Another reviewer states problems with the book's construction. The contruction of my book seems fine. There is an opening at the binding when the book is fully opened, but this is to allow the book to fully open. The binding is sound.

Another reviewer states problems with the grammar of a foreign version. The book comes in several different language additions. These are merely translated versions, not language-teaching versions.

Illustrations are excellant. Manufacture of book is poor quality ...

I love the illustrations in this book. The book is TINY! Even smaller than a regular board book, and I do wish that a larger version was made. I give it 5 stars though because the pictures are fantastic.
