In this rectangular shaped board book, images from prior works by Wildsmith have been selected to introduce children to the names of the animals found on a farm as well as the sound that each animal makes. Cows moo, pigs oink, ducks quack and turkeys gobble. It is a pleasant offering and will be enjoyed by little ones. --Children's Literature
About the Author
Brian Wildsmith has deservedly won a reputation as one of the greatest living illustrators of books for children. Raised in England, he studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. In 1962, he published his first book for children, ABC, for which he was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal, Britain's highest honor in the field.
Brian is known for his brilliant use of color, radiant portrayal of nature, and the soulful animation he brings to his illustrations of animals.

This book is perfect for tiny hands. We are in the process of teaching our daughter Portuguese (along with English) and this book is a wonderful help with that goal. I had expected the book to be larger, but it's small size is just right for my toddler's eager hands. After receiving it for Christmas, this book has become one of her favorites. The sturdy build to the book is a benefit also, and the illustrations are good.

This book is pretty small, but made for small hands. Its a cardboard book with english and portuguese farm animals. I like it because the noises associated with the animals are also in english and portuguese...which are, surprisingly, different! I'd recommend this book for babies through adults learning the language (like me!). Again, very compact so great for car rides.
