About the Author

Mary Buddemeyer-Porter, author of Will I See Fido in Heaven? (audio version, Will I See My Pet in Heaven?) is an educator and Christian lecturer appearing on national television, radio and in churches since 1995 concerning the immortality of animals based on the Bible. She has a master's degree in Arts in Education, and received her theological training at Missouri Baptist College and Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri and for over fifteen years her focus of study and research has been on the immortality of animals based on the Bible. She is also the co-founder of Eden Publications, a Christian publishing company that publishes and distributes Christian-based books on the immortality of animals. The video documentary "Animals in Paradise" is based on her books, Will I See Fido in Heaven? and Animals, Immortal Beings. She donates much time in grief counseling for pet owners and is a consultant for new authors who have written books from a Christian perspective on the immortality of animals. Mary is a member of ASCAP and has been the producer for two children's television series and is a Regional Emmy-nominated songwriter. She is the president of Note Family, Inc. and gives seminars on the Land of Music music education system she co-created. She has taught in private Christian schools, public schools and college. Mary is married with two grown sons and two step-children whose families all are involved with helping the homeless animals of the world. Her family also includes four rescue dogs. She was born on a farm in northern Missouri where she learned to care for and love all the creatures that came into her life.

I am 58 years old and changing careers. I am involved in Animal ministry work and social work. I have read over 18 books on animals and the afterlife. This book is among the best. Mary has presented so much Biblical evidence, that it is impossible to believe that God does not take animals to heaven. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise of the scriptures in question. My name is Chaplain Marcus Allison, an ordained chaplain of pets and even though I haven't finished this fine book I can already say this is the best work I have encountered on evidence and inspiration that God's beloved animals do indeed have souls and go to heaven! Please buy this book for not only yourself but for a hurting world, and to take a stand and proudly proclaim animals have souls!!!!!!!

Mrs. Buddemeyer-Porter has written a very good tome about the spiritual side of animals. The ethic of the so-called enlightenment era brought forth a 'new' ideation about animals. Thus today many seem to think animals are simply protein-based machines. She brings for scripture, theology and known intellectual and saintly men who think otherwise. A informative and good read for those who have lossed their companion pets. And for those who simply love animals.

I cannot fully describe how much I appreciate this book. I recently lost my 10 year old rabbit and until now, had always thought we could never fully know where animals go when they die. Growing up, I was always told that animals do not have souls and that God has not made a way for them to have eternal life. This has always deeply bothered me. If God is love and he created all things which He loves, how could it be in His nature to not provide restitution for what animals have endured since the fall of man? Simply put, this view has no biblical foundation. To the contrary, this book is full of scriptural evidence that suggests animals DO have eternal life. They are sinless; blameless. Jesus' atoning sacrifice set right what MAN had made wrong. His death restored man AND creation to God. Man, however, has a choice: to accept God or to reject Him. Our eternal destination falls on us.

Although it may sound like a "deep" read, I assure you that it is well worth it and quite enjoyable. This is a scripturally sound, encouraging, and inspiring book about God's creation that He has entrusted into our care. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

At on the onset I was a skeptic. Animals existing beyond this life? No Way. The Bible is clear that the answer is no. Right? Think again. Now. Well, I am a believer. Great book. Turned my world upside down. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks.
