Not really karaoke, January 24, 2009
This review is from: Anime Karaoke Collection (W/Book) (Audio CD)
I was really excited when I found Anime Karaoke but very let down when I actually attempted to use it. THIS IS NOT A KARAOKE CD. It is a CD with music tracks minus vocals. That might seem like karaoke, but what I mean is, it is NOT a CD+G which is what the typical karaoke CD is. No matter what you play it on, be it CD or DVD player or computer or even a karaoke machine (I tried both of my karaoke machines), you will not see the lyrics anywhere, it is just a music CD. Inside the cover booklet are lyrics, but they are tiny and hard to read. The fun of karaoke is singing along with a mic on a machine. When you take that away, this is just like any other CD you could sing along with any way, minus the lyrics.
Also, and this is just personal preference, I didn't like the songs they did put on with vocals (which begs the question why, if they were trying to make it a karaoke CD) but the vocals aren't by the original singers (most of them), they're by some girl that they're kind of trying to make an anime con star or something? I don't know. I prefer the original singers. This is just personal preference, so don't flame me if you like the little anime con star girl.

Great variety of songs, but..., December 25, 2008
This review is from: Anime Karaoke Collection (W/Book) (Audio CD)
The song selection isn't that bad on the cd. I especially love singing Eternal Flower (Towa no Hana) from Ai Yori Aoshi and Brilliant Road to Tomorrow. And it also has great songs sung by AX idol, Stephanie Yanez.
The only thing I was a little bit disappointed was that it's supposed to be a karaoke cd, but for some reason the lyrics did not show on the screen when I placed it on my karaoke machine. I'm not sure if it was my karaoke machine that is at fault, but I've had no trouble playing other karaoke cds on it, so I don't think my machine is the issue.
So the biggest disappointment for me was that the lyrics did not show up on screen. The cd case does come with a booklet with lyrics on there, except my favorite song, Eternal Flower, did not have the complete lyrics.
Overall, it's a fun cd to have and sing to IF you know the lyrics, but I was very saddened when the lyrics did not show up on my screen, and a major disappointed to me and my friends who were planning on singing anime songs at our karaoke party.

Defintely for the Karaoke type..., August 12, 2005
This review is from: Anime Karaoke Collection (W/Book) (Audio CD)
I picked up this CD a few months ago, and it's definitely worth getting if you're into singing Japanese anime tunes. Most of these Karaoke tracks you may not be able to find anywhere else.
Also on the CD are four songs performed by a new face: Stephanie. I heard some of her songs and I was completely blown away. She has a great voice that'll just mezmerize you.
Overall, it's definitely worth the money.
