Anime Toonz 2: Maria Kawamura (Jewl)

Maria Kawamura is a well known voice actress/singer in Japan. The last tracks are really nothing more than her saying things in english in a Japanese accent which is cute. The beats sometimes are slightly off which does bother me, but this is the mixer's fault not the singer. But if you like anime or know japanese or just like music with words that make no sense to you with a good beat this is for you.

The first Anime Toonz CD was much better than this. I too am an anime fan as well as a dance/ electronic music fan. All this CD is is random dance beats to a girl singing some of my favorite songs, however the two do not mix nicely. The beats don't match her singing or complement them well at all. I was very disappointed and wasted my money. I will however recommend the first CD, even though some songs also have this mismatch, other songs are actually fantastic.

This and the first Anime Toonz are a horrid example of anime music. The tracks are jarring, poorly executed remixes, that bear almost no resemblance to the original songs.

Yet another attempt to scam people out of money for a shoddy product.

Get the real thing. be amazed.

I saw this CD, and, being a big fan of anime and anime music, had to pick it up (I also have the first volume, which was pretty good overall, although some of the tracks weren't all that).

This new volume has some great remixes of the Macross "Do You Remember Love" -- Nigel Richards is a great DJ I've seen spin at some raves back in the day. Bitshifter's remix of the Love Hina theme song is an awesome video-game sounding song, and Prozac's remix of Popolocrois is very unique. DJ Seoul's D&B remix of Macross was also very nice.

I was disappointed that X's "Forever Love" was a no-vocals karaoke, I wonder why they did that? Perhaps some copyright issues.

The soundbytes by Maria Kawamura are very cute -- I'm using some of them as Windows sounds. I wish they'd included Naga's (from Slayers) laugh, but again I assume it's got to do with some copyright issues or something.

But all in all, this CD has some really cool remixes of some of my favorite anime theme songs. If you like anime music and techno, this CD is a must-have...

The best way I could describe this cd is it sounds like a really cool score from a techno anime movie... the remixes on this cd range from hard tech to fun electronica... if you like electronica and anime, you'll love this cd..

Beta's mix of Natsu Kikyuu is definitely my favorite on the cd.. Nigel Richard's and Prozac's tracks are very cool too.

The first CD was cool. And on theis one I like all the songs when the are singing but this one is good but not great. The last 19 just have girls saying hi, hello, hallo hallo, and stuff like that. So get the first one then if your cazy for more then get this CD. And one more thing, I love #11 :]
