5.0 out of 5 stars The best Animorph book yet
I thought this one was REALLY good. I don't want to say that Jake and Cassie is the only reason to get this because it was also really suspensful. But when Jake and Cassie kiss, well that was my favorite part. I'm glad that they finally show their feelings for each other! Anyway, get this book for all you Animorph fans, and even for people who are reading this for the...

The only thing that keeps me reading these books is the humor and because I want to know if anyone dies. Even if it is all very realistic, by now somebody should be dead. They can't always be lucky. And the same plot. The yeerks have a plan! And this time, the Animorphs may fail and Earth will be lost... And they escape!! Whoopee, sneak preview of the next book... The...

In this book their is Jake(The leader of the Animorphs or to yeerks Andalite bandits)he wakes up sweating and scared because he has a nightmare about a Bloodred eye(for those of you that never read the The Capture #6 when a yeerk died in his head that's when he had first seen this eye). After that he in a school watching a excerpt of the Lion King. That's when the ellimist who(is a all powerful creature who can do anything gave them chance to save themselves and their family and go to another planet and ditch the world in The Stranger #7and gave Tobias back his morphing power but didn't give his humanity in The Change #13).He stopped time to ask the animorphs to help him save race called the Iskoort from Crayak(The blood-red eye.Crayak is evil has Problem with the ellimist so he wants to kill them. The ellimist wants them to fight for him in a game.Seven of them versus seven howlers(who were the one to destroy the pemalites who created the chee who are Androids)Animorphs only have six members so they bring the Erek the chee so now they are on planet Iskoort and ready to fight.P.S Crayak made the howlers.

Once again, K. A. Applegate has written a great book. I went into this one not expecting much. I'm a fan of the series, but this one didn't sound that interesting at all. But once I got into it, I was hooked. She managed to come up with some really interesting plot complications. And I loved the kiss and the ending. I'm definately ready to move on to the next book after reading this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever Solutions, March 23, 2005
By
Alexicon (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Animorphs #26: The Attack (Paperback)
This is one of my favorite books of the entire series. K.A. Applegate throws another curveball with this book with an ingenious resolution. In this Jake book, the Animorphs and Erek take on seven Howlers (the vicious aliens who destroyed the Pemalites) as the chosen champions for the Ellimist and Crayak. Jake has seen the Crayak before, way back in #6 when the Yeerk died in his head. The Animorphs and Erek must defeat the seven Howlers to decide the fate of the Iskoort species, an amusing, unsymmetrical guild and merchant species. While on the planet, the Animorphs learn why the Iskoort are so important and how their survival can affect the war with the Yeerks.

This book differs from the others in the series in the respect that the Animorphs must devise a tactical solution to win. Brute force, the old standby, is ruled out almost immediately. Jake demonstrates his abilities as a competent leader and astute thinker in this book, further establishing his tremendous character growth. The Crayak has some sort of predisposed grudge against him (Jake's solution at the end of the book does not endear him to the Crayak either). He faces imminent danger in a strange world, where a wrong command means death. He has to handle Ax's own crisis, while also doing his best to use Erek's unique abilities and handicaps. All these elements, and Jake's ability to pull through, make for a great book. Besides the fact that Jake and Cassie finally get a kiss! About time!

5.0 out of 5 stars In this book the animorphs fight Crayack!, June 25, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Animorphs #26: The Attack (Paperback)
In this book the Animorphs fight with the Elimist against Crayack and the Howlers. The Howlers are nearly invincible and destroyed the Pelmites, the race that created the Chee. The book is set on the planet of the Iksoort, who are very similer to the Yeerks. Every three days, they must go to the Yoort pool and absorb Kandrona rays. Their guide explains that the Yoorts used to conquer races and enslave them, but eventully figured out that couquering races was not economical. They created the Iksoort, and modified both the Iksoort and the Yoorts so that they needed to stay together, or else both the Iksoort and the Yoorts would die. They called it "two bodies in one". Read the book to find out what happens next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ellimist's Enemy, February 17, 2002
This review is from: Animorphs #26: The Attack (Paperback)
if you're a hard core Animorph reader, you've probably read THE CAPTURE. if you remember, Jake mentions a red eye/half-machine thing as the Yeerk is dying. Well, that red eye thing turns out to be Crayak, the super-powerful enemy of the Ellimist. these two can't fight face to face and they are ready to tear eachother apart. So each being chooses a team of seven. Crayak takes 7 Howlers, killers of the Chees's makers. Ellimist chooses the Animorphs and Erek the Chee. Now a battle is fought for the survival of an supposely innocent race a couple thousand light years from Earth.
