Cheetahs are the fastest things around.....right?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
Wrong. Jake goes away on Vacation, and leaves Rachel in charge of the group. Ok, so now what? Well, it seems that the Yeerks are infesting a new race. The Garatrons. And the bad part? Garatrons make cheetahs look SLOW. The cover morph is Rachel to Cheetah. This should be an aweseome book, I can't wait for it to come out!!

Animorphs #37: The Weakness,
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
When I read The Weakness, I was in a good mood and happened to have liked the action and recklessness portrayed by Rachel in the book. Morphing cheetahs was very well described ; this was the falsgship of the book. But it still could have been worse. And while we see that Rachel is pure anger and recklessness, we see that from time to time one of the Animorph characters breaks through. It is not one of the best of the series, and it is not well written either. But at certain points of thebook you feel the beauty of what it's like to be a cheetah, roaming through savannah and running beside the enemy to catch him. However this part is in the beginning, making the main plot go to waste in the second and third chapter. But while it's there it's still vivid in your mind. I was looking forward to this book and was a little disappointed in Animorphs #37 ; but it could have been worse, and it is still worth buying. The cover itself is a masterpiece. So if you want action, I recommend this book, but if you want suspense, read the next few books. Books like #38 The Arrival and #39 The Hidden really had you going to find out what happens ; a book like #37 The Weakness isn't like that, but the book itself is meaningful in one lesson : the value of trust. In order to be a team you need to be able to trust your teammates, and while Rachel made several mistakes taking Jake's place as leader, she learned what trust was and that being the leader isn't just guts and glory. It's about making decisions that mean the difference between life...and death.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It has nonstop action, and great humor. This book is from Rachel's point of view, and she is made temporary leader while Jake is on vacation. This is a book that you should read if you like the series

Doesn't anybody like the book Animorphs these days?!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
Not to make you think I'm weird, but yes, I read these "crummy" little books. To tell you the truth, I think anyone who doesn't like Animorphs is weird (doesn't anyone like K.A. Applegate's books these days?). So people out there who want to read the book Animorphs, whatever you do (even if it means getting a Yeerk infested in your head), DON'T TRUST THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE (did I say don't like? I meant hate.) THE BOOK ANIMORPHS!!! Anyways, I've gotta stop being picky. I love the book Animorphs, and I recommend it to all worldwide readers!

'The Weakness' in the Animorphs series,
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
Unlike most people who have reviewed this book, I don't think Animorphs is getting worse. But this book was definetly bad. It was just the same old thing over and over again, action, action who cares? It did have a few good parts though. The ending was good and a big improvement on the rest of the book. It also showed you what happens when Rachel gets out of control, but didn't we already see that in #32? One thing I did like about this book was the cover.

My 10-year-old son absolutely adores the Animorphs series of books. They have been a great incentive for him to read and to improve his reading ability, so he can read them on his own. A caveat, though: start at the beginning, not in the middle of the series, or you'll spoil some of the surprises.

Not the best Rachel book, but a good Animorph,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
The Weakness surprised me, it really did. I was starting to get disappointed by the series, after all, everything has been the same for the past couple of books. (The Yeerks do something, the Animorphs stop them. Snore) This onewas different. I thought the Animorphs had to do one without Jake sooner or later and it finally happened. It urned out pretty good and I read the whole thing without getting bored at all.
In this one, Rachel leads the Animorphs. I think she got to emotional and that was totally un-Rachel. Also, she did some stupid things that even Rachel wouldn't do.

Gimme a break,
This review is from: Animorphs #37: The Weakness (Paperback)
when our bud Applegate first started making these books, they were cool, action-packed, and realistic. Now she writes one lame book after another. They get increasingly far-fetched and thinner. They are also repetive. I mean, come on. Sorry all you fans, but this book isnt all that.

Typical and predictictable, but entertaining,

This book is pretty typical of the animorphs series. It does have a few plot twists, but overall is pretty predictable, you can see the end coming a mile away. The animorphs series has been fun, but there are only so many times something can be done before it gets boring. I hope applegate brings some sort of an end to the series before it runs out of steam.
