Anita Y. Tsuchiya has been writing for pay for about 15 years now. She's fluent in a variety of styles: journalistic, academic, scientific, technical. And across a variety of media: print, web, social. She likes to think outside the box, while keeping track of how far she's pushed the envelope. In addition to writing and editing, she enjoys designing layouts and graphics.
Anita grew up in the Bay Area of California back when Silicon Valley was prune orchards and garlic fields, graduated from San Leandro High and then University of California, Davis. After a decade of living in the Pacific Northwest, she is now happily settled in Salt Lake City, Utah--although she does miss the seafood. Anita shares her home with Molly and Linus, a pair of dogs devoted to teaching her how to enjoy life to the fullest.
Long ago, she was a sponsored athlete and speed freak. Nowadays, she prefers a moderately active life that includes eating organic/local foods, hitting the gym, working in the garden/yard, watching local baseball/softball and teaching a few youth classes through the University of Utah. In the baseball off-season, Anita focuses on traditional Japanese culture, arts and history, including being a teacher's assistant in Japanese Theatre at the University of Utah.
