I recently bought a circular dining table for a new apartment which sadly has the dining room adjacent to the family room which means carpet =(

I've kids so dinner + carpet = nightmare

Looking around for rugs and mats I came across rectangular bamboo mats and office chair mats (I was close to nabbing two rectangular ones) until I came across this one.

Pros:
It fits my needs perfectly
plenty of room for the chairs to slide (more on that later)
looks nice to boot

Cons:
A bit pricey
being bamboo obviously there are 'slats' which causes a few things:
*table legs put pressure on certain areas, especially when on carpet
*chairs/legs only slid well when going the direction of the slat else they can get hung up.
Might need a stiff pad to go under it if you are planning to use it over carpet thereby potentially increasing the cost

Product was what I expected. Well made. Color was a little lighter than shown, but still very nice.
