An amazing mix set! I have all their mix comps. since Volume 2 and this one might be their best, and definitely one of the finest sets to come out this year. Excellent from beginning to end, and very light on the vocal Trance. Too many great to tracks to pick out, so everyone purchase this gem!
Also check out: George Acosta, Christopher Lawrence, The Thrillseekers ("Nightmusic, Vol. 3" - Best of '08), Tiesto ISOS 7, Solarstone, DJ Micro, Ferry Corsten ("Gatecrasher Sheffield" - Awesome set!)

Listen to this compilation of tracks straight through - its the best way to experience this volume (as with any volume on the anjunabeats series).
The tracks blend together beautifully for some of the most intoxicating, melodic trance. No crazy hard stuff here, just amazing music. Many of the tracks seem like they have that 'BT'esque touch to them.

This compilation is absolutely wonderful. Above & Beyond are by far the best trance/progressive DJs out there. I have to say Volume 3 is my all time favorite, but this is a close second. Really great to listen to if you want to zone out and relax!

Ah Anjunabeats. Whenever I get burned out on trance, I just go back to an Anjunabeats album and get refreshed! I love pretty much every installment of the series, and this is one of the best. Wonderfully mixed, almost perfect track list and the track flow is just great. There are some absolutely inspiring songs on this album and in my opinion this is the best track list of the series.
From the very beginning when the melody of "Paper Jet", you can tell you're getting into something awesome and the album just keeps on going from there. Not only is there no songs that I ever want to skip on the album but there are no even mediocre songs. Every song on the album is at the very least good, at the very most ingenious. I know I sound like a fanboy but I'm telling you, this is what trance is all about. When it comes to trance, I believe there are generally two types of albums. The first are those albums that sound incredible as a whole. They are cohesive and wonderfully mixed and each song compliments the others, but they stand strong only because of the mix as a whole (Markus Schulz - Miami '05 is a perfect example of this). The second are those that may be mixed well, but the track flow is a bit out of wack and it's basically just a compilation of crazy good club hits. These are good when you just want to pick a few great songs from your collection, but maybe not for a full listen through too often. (Something like DJ Tatana - Trance World 8). This is the best of both worlds. The album is incredible on a run through and will have you hooked from the beginning, but if you want to snag a few out of the album, they are amazing on their own as well. "Meet Me In Montauk", "Not A Lot Left", "Defined", "City Lights", "Elektra", the list goes on and on. Absolutely perfect guys! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys trance, from someone who is just getting into the genre, to seasoned veterans. This is the stuff!

More great stuff from A&B,

To be fair, there is some duplication here-mostly new mixes of existing songs. That being said, the CDs are fantastic, as is to be expected from Above and Beyond. I've got them on my iPod and listen to both straight through over and over-never gets tiring and I hear new things that I didn't notice before each time I listen.
If you have other Anjunabeats/Above and Beyond stuff and like it, get this. You will enjoy it. If you are new to trance-this is as good a place to start as anywhere else.

I can't say much more than this is a 100% worth it purchase for me. I'm absolutely new to Anjunabeats, but definitely not trance/progressive. This is just a perfect album for grooving what seems like a moment, but turns out to be an entire CD of craftily mixed beats.
THANK YOU ABOVE & BEYOND!!!

For those familiar with previous Anjunabeat releases, this is more of the same - only the best progressive Trance out there.

I enjoy a lot of electronica music ranging anywhere from The Chemical Brothers to Deadmau5, or from Orbital to Matthew Dear (especially Audion and False). Let's toss in LCD Soundsystem, The Crystal Method and even The Bird and The Bee. My tastes are somewhat eclectic. Most of my listening is alone and at fairly high volume. The problem is that I'm 74 and just don't hang out in circles that listen to this stuff. People of my age don't even know what they're missing! In any case, I get most of my selections via suggestions from the Amazon computer and listening to XM Radio on the BPM Channel. I was commenting about this in a review of a Deadmau5 CD and reviewer Gustavo J Sanchez M suggested that I might enjoy some Above & Beyond music, specifically the Anjunabeats Volume Six CD. OK, I'd never heard of it, but it seemed worth a try.
The Anjunabeats Volume Six album (2 CDs) is somewhat overwhelming in that 30 songs by almost that many artists are represented. However, the mixing is much the same on all selections so that it doesn't sound like a typical compilation album. If I just listened to it without knowing, I'd guess that it was one act turning out 30 different songs, all rather well done. Well, one of the problems I have with this music is the mixing. It has a somewhat homogenized feeling to it. None of the "instruments" stand out as crisp and clear. They're all blended into a backgroundish "wall of sound." It's good, nicely melodic music, without question, but I have trouble sitting down and intensely listening to it all the way through. I prefer something that is a little edgier, a little more in your face. With some of the Deadmau5 or Matthew Dear (especially, Audion or False) discs, they grab my undivided attention like a symphony. With this Ajunabeats volume, I'd regard it to be more of a background music and I could be working reading or engaged in other activities at the same time I'm listening. It's excellent background music, I should hasten to add. I'm contemplating putting it on the stereo at low volume the next time we have a social gathering just to see what the reaction is. My guess is that a lot of people would be asking about what and who it is. Gary Peterson

This is pretty amazing. I have been a big fan of Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats series of mixes. It seems as if they get better each time.
I could listen to this all day/night. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do!

This is an amazing dance/trance CD compilation. With 30 tracks there is something for everyone. I marked my 12 favorite uptempo tracks for when I need inspiration. The rest of the time, I just let it play. The first review convinced me to get this volume first, and I was not disappointed. "Thank you" to all the reviewers who preceded me.
