This is an ultra slim Bluetooth keyboard that is lightweight and offers a lot of features. The back side of the keyboard is made of aluminum and it looks like the back of an iPad. The keyboard's front has a rubberized coating that looks nice, resists fingerprints and has padded areas so the keys don't touch your iPad screen. The unit features a rechargeable Lithium battery rated at 280 mAh and it is expected to last 3 years. It can operate the keyboard uninterrupted for 100 hours and it only takes 4 to 5 hours to fully charge. You can also use the keyboard while it is charging.

The keyboard is only 4 mm thick and it has a magnetic latch on a hinge to attach to the iPad and it also has built in magnets that put your iPad into sleep mode when it is closed or opened. It is a nice keyboard with a specialty row of keys that allow you to quickly go to the home screen, adjust volume, control your videos or music, lock the iPad and even more.

If you stop typing for 15 minutes the keyboard will go into sleep mode and it will awaken and repair to the iPad in 2 seconds when you touch any key. Remember this as if you just start typing you may lose several characters that you have typed as the two devices have not properly repaired yet.

The keyboard comes with a charging cable that is 2 feet long that is a standard USB plug on one end and a Micro USB connector on the other. You can charge the keyboard with the USB port on your computer or any USB AC wall charger that you own. It also comes with four stick on rubber feet for the back of the keyboard and a user instruction manual.

There is a pop up tab that allows you to lean your iPad against it and have it stand up in the portrait or the landscape mode.

I originally posted a better rating for this product, but after using it for a couple months, I have become more and more frustrated. To be fair, it's probably my own fault. There is a reason prices vary so much for these types of keyboards, and you definitely get what you pay for. If you want a keyboard for casual use, this one is fine. I made the mistake of thinking I was a casual user, and quickly discovered that this was not the case.

The Good
1) The case is sturdy and pretty well-constructed.
2) Connecting it to my iPad was super easy.
3) It has a lot of useful function keys at the top that let you do things like change the volume, change brightness, etc.
4) It holds the iPad at a good angle for viewing, and it is fairly sturdy on a desk or table.

The Bad
1) There is no way to tell how much charge you have left on the keyboard. This means that you will lose power at some point without expecting it. If you are a casual user, this won't matter. You can just come back to what ever you were doing later or go grab the charger. If you want to use this for class or meetings though, that luxury probably doesn't exist. This happened to me, and it was at a very inconvenient time. To avoid it, you should probably just charge they keyboard whenever you are thinking about it (my guess is that this will kill the battery quicker in the long run though). If you are like me, chances are you will forget to do this at some point as well.
2) The bluetooth connectivity is not good enough if you are a fast typer. I have had numerous classes in which I needed to type as quickly as possible, and see what I was typing without delay.

Disclaimer: Review sample was kindly provided by Anker, all opinions contained within this review are my own.

The keyboard arrived in a small, neat package - quite a difference from those producst which turn up with an insane amount of packing material.

Contained within the package was the keyboard, a micro USB charging cable, a pack of 4 sticky `feet' pads and the instructions.

The keyboard itself is (obviously) the same size as an iPad, but weighs about half as much - when attached via the magnetic clip to an iPad 2, the total weight is under 900g, with a depth of 20mm.

This is a very elegant looking keyboard - the design is clean and uncomplicated, with the back of the keyboard the same silver as the back of an iPad. The keyboard itself is a chiclet style and is pleasant enough to type on, although the keys are slightly clicky, especially the space bar.
One thing to note is the symbols on the keyboard are setup for a US English layout, the # sign over the 3 instead of £, but it defaulted to UK English when actually typing.

To support the iPad, there is a little pop-up stand, which is quite sturdy and supports an iPad in either portrait or landscape, depending on your preference. Its worth noting though that it seems a little reluctant to be flattened out, requiring either more pressure than would normally be expected, or the user to hold the release latch open to get the stand to sit flush with the base.

Connection to the iPad was very simple, and posed no issues. As a test, I also tried connecting the keyboard to a Nexus 7 and an HTC One X, again with no issues.

Typing was remarkably smooth for a such a thin keyboard, and I had no trouble writing half a dozen emails, and this review, on it.
