The main reason I chose to go with Anker's product is because of their customer service.

Setting your phone on the charging pad that is on your night stand is so simple that you can do it in your sleep.

If the USB port on your phone works, charge at 2A with a good (wired) charger like the Limefuel L48WC.

I bought this because it was a good price and it looked sleek. I currently have a TYLT Qi charger for work, but I wanted something for home. I also have the Nexus 4 wireless charging orb, but I did not like it because placement on the orb made a significant difference in whether your phone charged or did not charge. The TYLT charger is pretty mindless, you place your phone and it charges, however, this is not the case with the Anker charger.

Similar to the Nexus charger, placement position on pad matters if your phone does or does not charge. There is an LED indicator that blinks to let you know that you device is charging, but I have found this to not be 100% reliable. At times it appears to be charging, but I find later on, that the device is not charging at all. I have tried this device with both a Nexus 4 and a Nexus 5, and both result in equally disappointing inconsistent charging experiences.

I'm not sure if my charger part is defective, but it's difficult to ascertain given the temperamental nature. It could be my A/C adapter, but it charges my devices without any problem. Best case, it's my A/C adapter and a simple fix; worst case, it's a quality issue with the charger - either way, I think I've spent to much time to try and debug something that should be straightforward.

I'm using this with a Nexus 7 second generation. The other wireless charger I have is the Nokia DT900. This Anker is very difficult to use compared to the Nokia. With the Nokia, I could just flop the tablet on top of it and it'll charge, no worries. With the Anker, I have to spend several seconds playing with it to position it just right. Maybe it's easier with a phone. I would not recommend Anker.

Edit: I was able to get a replacement unit from Anker. Unfortunately, it performed about the same as before. I will say however that Anker customer service was pretty responsive and friendly and tried their best to solve the problem.

I feel a video showing off the product and seeing what it does and how it works, is better than a written review. So please watch the quick video.

My only (minor) complaints is that it doesn't grip the device. I move around in my sleep, and it slides off the charger because of that. If it had a magnetically hold the phone, it wouldn't slid off so easily. But you're going to pay twice as much for an official Wireless Nexus Charger. And 2nd, that the light in the side of the charger starts flashing when it's charging a device. The light is distracting and I place an object next to it to keep the light from bouncing off my wall. A light showing that it's working is a must, but it's so bright at night.

I would definitely say this is worth the money. It's nice not worrying about trying to plug your phone in at night (in the dark), and spending a few moments trying to plug your phone in correctly. Just slap your phone on this charger, and it's charging.

You won't wear out your Micro USB Cables, and it's a pretty neat charger!

When I first plugged this in, using the cable that came with my phone, nothing happened. I know the cable is a good one, but for some reason it failed to even power up this charging pad. I tried using the included cable, and it worked like a charm.

If it is powered, the small LED will light up green. If it is charging, it will flash between green and blue. Manual says it should stay blue, I'm not sure if this indicates a problem with my setup or if it is working as designed.

I have only one Qi equipped device (Nexus 7 2nd generation) and one Qi charger, this one. So it is hard to compare performance. It will not charge the Nexus 7 unless I removed it from its case - but then again, the case is extremely thick, so I wasn't surprised.

Labeling on the back of the charging pad states : Input 5V 2A, Output 5V 1A. Convenience comes at some efficiency loss. It also states that it is made in China, if you care about that.

Included is the charging pad and a microUSB cable about 3.3 ft (1m) long. The charging pad itself is about 1/4" thick and 3 1/2" in diameter. It has rubber feet at the bottom that provides good grip. The included USB cable plugs in nicely and the plug is thin enough not to interfere with either the pad and table, or the pad and the device you're charging. Some documentation is included, but shouldn't be necessary. Interestingly, it is in English, German and Japanese. No USB power plug is included, so make sure you have a beefy USB adapter. If one had been included (with a small increase in price), I'd rate this 5 stars.

Packaging is beautiful. Reminds me of Nest packaging. The charging pad itself feels sturdy, but not exceptionally so.

I like the slim design. This works as expected and charges up my S4 with wireless back. I can't say as to how fast it charges as i usually just set it on top and forget about it. I bought two - one for my desk and one for my car. Unfortunately, trying to use the wireless charger while navigation is running causes the phone to overheat :(. It is not an issue with the charger, but rather the current technology.
