This oversized, well-assembled paperback, done in the style of Citadel Books' well-known "The Films of..." series, presents a comprehensive (at least through the date of publication) overview of famed movie dancer Ann Miller's cinematic body of work, movie by movie, along with a concise biographical essay. Numerous excellent black-and-white photos, many of which haven't showed up elsewhere, are one of the prime attractions of this book. Miller is sadly underappreciated today, so this is basically the most recent book on her available (she lived to see the 21st century, working virtually all her life!) Introduction by Hermes Pan, Miller's longtime choreographer. Be sure to also get Ann Miller's autobiography, _Miller's High Life_, which is a perfect complement to this book!

This is a welcome addition to my collection of movie books. Ann Miller, at one time I had an autographed book of hers and through the years I had to sell it, so I am glad to have another start of her in books. I have most of her musical movies and I have seen her once live on stage. This is a nice book with a lot of black and white pictures (being black and white is its only downfall) through her career up to Sugar Babies. I want to read an autobiography on her some time, because in interview shows that I've seen her in, she is a nut (astrology and husbands and such). One of my favorites.

Ann Miller, Tops In Taps:An Authorized Pictorial History is an absolutely wonderful book. With coverage of Ann's work in films, television, and theatre up to 1981 it is very comprehensive. Photographs, film and theatre reviews, and all the details about Ann Miller's professional life. Ann Miller fans will like it the most.
