I first checked this out from my library, and was almost shocked at how unlike it was from the musical that I was used to with Yul Brenner. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at the intensity and depth of the drama of this version, despite the differences in the storyline. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who loved Rex Harrison in "My Fair Lady". You will soon forget him there, as you get caught up in his amazing performance as The King of Siam. |
