Swathed in a furry costume, Anne Geddes's Baby Bear sits solidly on its beanbag bottom, grinning, trying to decide just what sort of harmless mischief to attempt next. Rounded ears and tilted feet are trimmed in flannel, and the plump body is matching caramel-colored fur. With its peanut nose and twinkling blue eyes, Baby Bear makes a cheerful companion for crib or car seat. There are no loose or extended parts to get pulled off and lost, and beanbag baby can be machine washed and tossed in the dryer. The fur looks as though it could mat after several washings, but you can probably prevent this by brushing it. --Julie Ubben
