Book Description

The Anne of Green Gables Series and MUCH MORE in one Collection!

As the father of four daughters who LOVE the Anne books, I set out to create the ultimate Kindle edition of these timeless books. I wanted a perfectly-formatted, easy-to-use Kindle release that included these amazing books at a fantastic price. And here is the result!

This exciting collection has these great features:

  • Links to download the unabridged audiobooks of all 11 novels for FREE!
  • The ability to easily jump to any book using the Kindle "go to" feature
  • An individual, active table of contents for each book so you can go to any chapter
  • Clean formatting, giving you full control over fonts and font sizes
  • Did I mention an unbeatable price?

All titles in this Anne of Green Gables collection, along with their publication date, are listed below.

Unfortunately, there are two books in the Anne of Green Gables series which were published later and can't yet be included in this Kindle collection because of copyright restrictions. These are "Anne of Windy Poplars" (1936) and "Anne of Ingleside" (1939).

Thanks for checking out my Anne Stories collection. I hope you and your family enjoy these books as much as we have!

Editorial Reviews

"I love these books. I read the first Anne book many years ago. I bought the Anne of Green Gables series for my oldest granddaughter, but now to find all these stories together in one volume plus the Story Girl series and other isolated stories of the Avonlea area as well as poetry was for me a great find. I knew I was in for a treat when I read, and read, and then read some more, and still my Kindle said I was only 2% finished, I knew I was in for a real treat."

"I grew up with these stories and am utterly in love with the characters. I ordered this as the kindle version and so far there are no bugs or mistakes with the adaptation of the novel to digital form. Absolutely satisfied. If you're looking for a good read, this is a great classic series perfect for children and adults."

"How can you ever go wrong. These books got me through a lot as a child and they continue to be close to my heart now."

Included books from the Anne of Green Gables Series:
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • Anne of Avonlea
  • Anne of the Island
  • Anne's House of Dreams
  • Rainbow Valley
  • Rilla of Ingleside
  • Chronicles of Avonlea
  • Further Chronicles of Avonlea
Additional material from Lucy Maud Montgomery includes:
  • A collection of 142 short stories
  • The Story Girl
  • The Golden Road
  • Kilmeny of the Orchard

4.0 out of 5 stars Great collection February 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I think it goes without saying that I love the Anne books, so I will keep my review to one strictly of this Kindle edition.

While I am only about half through the first book (and will certainly update my review if it changes), I'm pretty thrilled with this collection. It's exactly as the description claims: it's easy to jump from one book to another using the Table of Contents. Once you reach the desired book, it is easy to jump from chapter to chapter. I'm giving this only four stars, because the editing isn't perfect; I've noticed a couple odd words and phrases. (Example: "Parthian shot" became "Parthian shaft.") Thus far, however, they are minor and have not significantly impacted my enjoyment. And for the price (I paid $0.99), it's certainly not a big deal.

Over all, I highly recommend this collection. As I stated, if my opinion changes as I read further, I will certainly update my review.

I love these books and already had most of them in audiobook form. I bought this in order to get the books I didn't have. However, if you just want the audiobooks, this purchase is not necessary. The audiobook links given on the kindle just direct you to a website ( where these audiobooks are available FREE to anyone. They are not the best of recordings since you get volunteer readers and usually a different reader for each chapter. BUT, they are free and you can't beat that. So if you want this to read on your Kindle - it's an awesome deal. If you want it for the audiobooks, don't bother.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Favorites Revisited April 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My mother suffers from Alzheimer's and is totally dependent on others for everything, including entertainment. At least once a week, I and go and read to her. I think it is a nice change of pace that she really seems to enjoy.

Mom was always a fan of Anne of Green Gables, so I downloaded this version to my Kindle Fire. We are having a wonderful time together, reliving Anne's dramatics.

The first time I remember reading an Anne book, is when I was in the 8th grade. My mother bought it for me and forced me to read and I was hooked. So she got me the rest of the books in the series. I consider these books to be my favorite literature books of all time. If I ever need a book to cheer me up or escaped from the real world, Anne of Green Gable always do the trick. SO when I see it offer for such a reasonable price for my kindle, I had to get it. If you don't feel like reading the books, you can listen to the audio version that also comes when your purcahse of the books. You can easily jump from one book to the next by using the table of content. I love love these books and it is such an easy read. The late and great Author Lucy Maud Montgomery deserves alot of praised for blessing us with her beautiful masterpiece literature books.

The 11 books mini series is based on life of Anne Shirley between the ages of 11 to 75 years old. Anne became a wife, bore 6 children and went on to become an educator. The story takes place Canada on Prince Edward Island in a town called Avonlea. You will fall inlove with the characters different personalities because although this a fiction in felt real.

The main character Anne Shirley is an intelligent, imaginative, freckle face, red headed eleven year orphan who is send to the Green Gable farm in Avonlea to be adopted by a pair of siblings, Matthew and Marilla Cuthburts. Anne realized they wanted a boy to help them with chores on the farm and not a girl. So Anne warm the hearts of the Cuthburts and whole town and flourish beautifully. Anne and Marilla did have a rough relationship which changed into mutural respect and affection. She also had a rough start in school and got into a few scraps.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Anne Stories April 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What a shame Anne of Windy Willows (or Windy Poplars, as it's called in the US) can't be included in this collection. These books have charmed me for too many years to mention. Every character is a friend and it's a joy to watch Anne grow from a frightened, unloved orphan into a beautiful and beloved woman, wife and mother.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Kindle Collection March 13, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'll assume that you know and like Lucy Maud Montgomery's body of work, and that you're mostly concerned about whether this is a good, functional set for your Kindle.

I have an older black and white Kindle Touch and the formatting of freebies or of out-of-copyright compilations on that device can sometimes be a little dicey. Not so here.

First off, the collection is sent directly to your Kindle. There is no messing about with a download to your computer and then a transfer via USB cable to your device, which is a common process for a lot of Kindle freebie websites.

The copy you get is clean and sharp, with no formatting errors. As represented, all Kindle functions, (like adjustment of type size), work well.

There is an active Table of Contents that allows you to move directly to the book you want.

There is an active Table of Contents for each book, and for the collection of poems, and for the collection of short stories, so you can go directly to the chapter, poem or story you want.

This does appear to be the most complete collection when compared to the other low cost collections, (although like all of those collections it does not include the last two Anne books, since they aren't public domain).

So, if you want a quality, easily navigated, complete Anne set to travel with you on your Kindle I don't see how can beat this collection.

Please note that I found this book while browsing Amazon Kindle freebies. I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.
