I very carefully shopped for a unique, artistic well designed frame that compliment my face. The design and plum color are beautiful and I get numerous compliments, especially when I wear purple, plum or burgandy clothing. However, after owning them for a year with no accidents, the paint has scratced off showing the silver metal. I did ask friends to look at me and see if they notices the front scratches. They said it was not noticable from 2 -3 feet standing distance. So I am not replacing them yet. The metal has maintained its shape. It continues to be comfortable to wear. However, these are beautiful but easily damaged frames.
If you want a frame to last for years, this is not a good choice.

I was hesitant at first to buy this frame but it came in a real brand new condition just like in this eyeglass store where I've tried them on and were being sold for $169. My advice - try them on in person first before buying them online.
