Anne M. Raso is a 30-year-plus veteran writer currently living in New York City. She grew up in Wayne and Franklin Lakes, NJ. Anne studied journalism, art history, and English literature at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Her diverse journalism career has included gigs at Tiger Beat magazine (as an associate editor) and the New York Daily News (as a Sunday rock columnist). She spent a lot of the 80s and part of the early 90s writing for heavy metal magazines including Circus, Metal Mania, Rock Scene and RIP.
Anne has penned several teen star paperbacks including ones on Justin Timberlake, NKOTB, Kris Kross, Tori Spelling and Ricky Martin for major publishers like Bantam and Scholastic, and has also written record company and personal bios for NKOTB, various rising stars on Atlantic Records, former Lady Gaga choreographer Laurieann Gibson and moms of famous rappers including those of Jay-Z and Notorious BIG.
The past five or so years has seen Anne expanding into travel journalism (for about.com and foxnews.com) as well as restaurant reviews (for financefoodie.com). All along, Anne has not given up her #1 love, which is writing and editing teen magazines. Her recent pop teen projects have included numerous Justin Bieber and One Direction "one shots" for Enoble Media/Faces Publication and urban teen specials on Nicki Minaj and Mindless Behavior for Word Up Publications. She most recently became a contributor to Popstar! Magazine.
