Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

PreSchool-K-A pleasant alphabet book with lots of names and a few rhymes joins a genre that always has room for one more. Though not as clever as some, the simple text will suit a preschool audience and tickle those who share one of the 26 names mentioned. As the entries range from Anne to Olaf to Quent to Uri, even those with unique names may have a chance. The watercolor illustrations are boldly colored, richly textured, and suggest a wide variety of ethnicity via skin tones; however, the simple cartoon characters' race and even gender remain ambiguous in some cases. The variety is quite nice. Not an essential addition, but new, attractive, and useful for the preschoolers who aren't quite ready to Zap Z.
