Even in America, those of us who have followed Dalida, once we discovered her, have a fond remembrance of her French disco songs. Though a star for many years, I only knew of her covering Petula Clark's English songs from the late 50s, which forced Petula to start recording in French herself. Be that as it may, visiting fellow Petula fans in French Quebec in the late 70's, I was introduced to Ca Ma Fait Reve, which was a disco medley of new vocals to parts of her hit songs from long ago. I was hooked, and then started to collect what I could. When the advent of CD came on, I've since obtained her Barclay and Orlando box sets, so I have all of her original recordings.

This new collection covering all her disco releases is a great collection, though I still don't know why Darla Dirladada appears. It was not a disco song, and it is not one of the remixes done of Dalida's catalog after her passing. For those who love the French language and dance music, this collection is a must. Dalida fans around the world will be partying to this collection.
