France Gall and her husband Michel Berger gave "the best of themselves" in these beautiful songs. France was the gifted daughter of Robert Gall, a famous song-writer. Her grand-mother, when she died, gave her "title" to one of the most popular french song by Charles Aznavour: "La Mamma". Her boy friends were talented french singers. Her first song writer was Serge Gainsbourg. She even recorded a CD with Sir Elton John. What such a gifted handsome young girl could get and bring more? Well, she inspired and gave to us this CD songs. After her husband and their daughter's death, France became less active in the show business. She will remain a "star" whose songs are becoming classical french love songs. All of them are so pure and delicate that you can offer such recordings even to very young girls.

This 2 cd collection delivers the best of FRANCE GALL's second career(1974-1990)with her husband MICHEL BERGER.FRANCE is a romantic woman who has a sense of fun that goes back to her teenage years.She was one of the most popular FRENCH singer of the eighties.Of the six albums three stand out(FRANCE GALL,TOUT POUR LA MUSIQUE AND BABACAR)and they are generously represented here ,but it is my beleive that you'll be touched by COMMENT LUI DIRE,LA DECLARATION and CE SOIR JE NE DORS PAS ,all three being associated with the love story of FRANCE and MICHEL,a love story that unfortunally end up tragically with the death of MICHEL in 1992 of a heart attack.Do you a favour, buy this 2 cd set,you won't be disappointed.
